  • A Week In the Life of an LBC Freshman - Part 6

So Friday. End of the week at last. Or nearly. On Friday mornings at 9 instead of chapel I have LIFE group, which basically amounts to 5 or 6 people sitting around and talking for an hour about ... stuff. Seriously, whatever's running through their heads. And some of it is pretty interesting. We share prayer requests, but never get around to actually praying, which is a new idea to me... I talked about it to Dave, and he thought that was pretty funny as well.

Me: They call it LIFE group, which is stands for Loving Intentional Fellowship Encouragement, but mostly we just sit around and talk about people in our dorm.... who's dating, who's fighting with who.... that sort of stuff....

    Dave: Well.... that's LIFE!

All too true. Well, after class was over at 11, I went to the library (always in the library, are you starting to see a thread here?) and got some help from Mr. L. tying flies before class. There were these two people sitting at the other table in the back of the library studying, or at least pretending.... I'm sure they wondered what I was doing. I wonder that myself sometimes.

So on Fridays after Bib Herm I have fly fishing class from 2 until 3, or at least it's supposed to be until 3 but almost never is. Last week I didn't get out until 4, and this week was no exception.... Today we learned how to tie ants and sowbugs, and although that doesn't sound fun it is sort of interesting in a way. Uncle Bob says he's never caught anything on the river with either of those, so maybe I will have to save them for some time when I fish on a lake or a pond or something.

This evening I talked to Jon and he read me some stories from his Joan N the Whale book. It's been a long time since we've just talked like that, and I didn't realized how much I missed it.
